Quality Department
Quality Control Inspector
SUMMARY:
- The Quality Control Inspector checks the specifications of incoming and outgoing products by conducting tests, monitoring production processes and identifying malfunctions. They work in various manufacturing and production settings, such as the quality control department, assembly lines and laboratories.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Quality Control certifications is a plus.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Ability to use quality testing machines and systems (calipers, micrometers, rulers, gages.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to read and understand English

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads blueprints and specifications.
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
- Impact, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
- Approve or reject raw materials or finished products with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
- Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected.
- Operate electronic inspection equipment such as coordinate-measuring machines (CMMs) and 3D scanners.
- Prepare and submit reports to Quality Management.
- Assists production personnel in promoting ideas for controlling wasted materials and time.

Experience

Responsibilities and Authorities
- Reports to the Grinding Department Manager / Grinding Department Supervisor
- Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM including 0.5 hr unpaid lunch.
- Operates or tends centerless grinders, both manual and numerical controlled, in a production
environment. - Assists in the set up and development of operator aids.
- Operates a chemical coating removal station.
- Operates tip annealing furnace and trims wire to length as required and directed.
- Performs other duties as required by management.

Straighten & Cut Department

SUMMARY:
The Straighten and Cut Technician ensures that customer expectations are met, and quality products are always produced by running multiple machines efficiently and being punctual and productive.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experience in an industrial, team manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to eventually run multiple machines.
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Ability to determine if machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses requirements found on job sheet to accurately produce a product that meets specifications and expectations, especially putting importance on meeting due dates.
- Clears the line from previous jobs to ensure that there is no mixing of previous and current products.
- Sets up machines according to information on the job sheet; ensures that machine meets standards.
- Verifies that materials brought from inventory are correct.
- Performs first piece and in-line inspection of material being straightened and cut.
- Correctly uses measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
- Completes all required paperwork and all reports in the system.
- Accurately reports scrap and production efficiency.
- Communicates effectively with management, lead operators, and other personnel regarding problems, due dates, difficulties with machine operation, etc.
- Grinds dies when required.
- Reworks rejected parts as required.
- Understands job requirements and communicates action items for corrective action, as needed.
- Maintains work areas in a neat and organized manner, including tools, materials, and paperwork.
- Able to run multiple machines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Continually required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently required to bend and kneel to use machines and get equipment.
- Continually required to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment.
- Continually required to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Continually exposed to loud noise.
- Required to wear safety goggles, a mask, pants that cover down to the ankle, and closed-toe shoes.
